We'll create a plan to make mindful running easy with a structured strategy to ensure successful completion, breaking down the goal into manageable steps, identifying potential obstacles, and establishing priorities. By setting clear objectives and allocated time, you'll experience clarity and purpose every day. Planning provides a roadmap to guide you throughout the challenge.
Before each run or walk, we take a moment to set our intentions for the session. This could involve goals such as improving focus, relieving stress, or simply enjoying the present moment.
The strategy of mindful running involves combining the physical activity of running with mindfulness techniques to enhance the experience and achieve various mental and emotional benefits.
Discover the transformative impact of mindful running, connecting with yourself and your environment on a deeper level. Through simple guided exercises, tune into your body, thoughts, and feelings, creating more profound awareness with acceptance and no judgment or resistance. By practicing these principles, you can extend mindfulness beyond your runs and cultivate inner peace and resilience in other areas of your life.
Focusing on gratitude and staying fully present, we'll discover joy in the little things during our run, thereby elevating our experience with contentment. This mindful approach not only improves our time on the run but also uplifts our overall well-being. By consistently embracing presence and gratitude, we cultivate a positive mindset that stays with us, nurturing greater happiness and fulfilment in our lives.
As we gear up for our final run in this challenge, we'll take a moment to reflect on our journey together. Each day, we've moved closer to mindfulness by setting intentions and finding gratitude in the little things. Now, as you embrace being a mindful runner, remember to carry with you all the lessons you've learned and the strength you've gained. Looking forward, it's clear that our adventure as mindful runners is just beginning. So, keep up with these practices in your daily life, and remember, facing challenges with grace and staying present is all part of the journey. You've got this!

"Despite the cliché, I do believe that everything happens for a reason. Turning 52 has prompted me to reflect on life, especially after dealing with so many setbacks, including some serious heart issues. But what truly made the difference for me was a major shift in my mindset. I've come out of it feeling grateful for another chance at life and the journey it took me on. Now, I'm on a mission to share what I've learned with people like you who've also been through their own share of battles. Let's change the way we think about getting older, it's not about slowing down, it's about doing what we can, being present, and staying active while enjoying the ride!"

Hey there,
I'm Andrea Alestrand, your mindful running coach, and I'm excited to share a bit about my journey with you. Just like many others, I once had this dream of becoming a runner. But, truth be told, I kept putting it off, always waiting for that "perfect" moment to start. Little did I know, life had its own plans for me.
A while back, I faced some serious health issues that completely shattered my plans. It was a wake-up call, really. I had to confront the harsh reality that time doesn't wait around for anyone, and waiting for the stars to align perfectly is a luxury we can't always afford.
But through that tough time, I learned something invaluable—there's no time like the present. It wasn't an easy lesson, mind you, but it completely shifted my perspective. Instead of letting setbacks knock me down, I decided to use them as stepping stones toward a more fulfilling life.
My journey has been one of resilience, self-discovery, and a relentless pursuit of growth. Growing up, I faced hurtful words, domestic violence, and struggled with dyslexia, but I refused to let those define me. Despite the challenges, I pushed forward, thirsty for knowledge and hungry for progress.
Now, as your mindful running coach, I bring all these experiences to the table. I've walked the path of overcoming adversity and self-doubt, and I'm here to guide you through your journey towards mindfulness and purposeful running or walking.
Mindful running, as you may know, is all about blending the art of running with mindfulness techniques. It's about being fully present in the moment while you run or walk, tuning into your body, your breath, and the world around you. This practice encourages running without judgment or attachment to outcomes, helping you develop a deeper awareness of yourself and your surroundings. By incorporating breathing techniques and staying attuned to your body, thoughts, and emotions, mindful running promotes mental clarity, stress reduction, and a profound sense of connection to your body and the world around you.
So, let's lace up those shoes, embrace the present moment, and turn life's hurdles into opportunities for growth and transformation.
Andrea Alestrand
